In light of the Pokémon Go phenomenon, Beaumont Estate part of the PH Hotels Collection in Old Windsor, has launched Go Catch’em; a new breakout offering for delegates (AKA Pokémon trainers) attending meetings and conferences at the venue. Enabling delegates to retreat to the outdoors Go Catch’em breakout sessions allow exploration of the Beaumont’s vast grounds whilst at play and provide a fun and invigorating break to the day’s agenda.

Beaumont’s general manager Paul Duggan says: “Pokémon Go is everywhere, played by both children and adults alike it provides a great opportunity to get out and explore in virtual and real time. With this concept in mind we’ve launched a breakout offering which allows delegates to take in the hotel’s 40 acres, which might otherwise be missed when hosting an indoor event, while enjoying refreshments on the go.”

Go Catch’em sees refreshments usually served during lunch and tea breaks packaged up for delegates to takeaway, providing more time to find and catch Pokémon outdoors. Delegates are welcome to play in groups or solo and can help themselves to sweet shop style confectionary on their return. Go Catch’em can also be used as an ice-breaker prior to meeting, conference or networking with teams selected to find specific characters within an allotted time. New Pokémon trainers will be briefed with instruction cards for both IOS and android phones.

PokeStops at Beaumont Estate include monuments and special features within the grounds. Pokémon trainers can expect to find Clefairy, Onix, and Ghastly among the characters at Beaumont.

A four-star hotel, just 15 minutes from Heathrow and 45 minutes from central London, Beaumont Estate comprises 414 bedrooms and 75 inspiring spaces across 8 meeting zones in which to hold a variety of corporate events. The vast grounds provide plenty of outdoor space for breakout sessions and blue sky thinking in warmer seasons. Free onsite car parking is available for 400 cars.

The event returns to the venue for the 22nd time, having been first hosted in 1993. Representatives from corporate and media industries including PWC, JP Morgan, the Telegraph, PKF Littlejohn, JLT and Mercer will be in attendance showing their support for the children’s charity.

Lauren Stebbing, NSPCC community fundraising manager said: “Now in its 22nd year the Brain Game is a fun filled supper quiz evening with a balance of questions tailored to challenge and engage all levels of knowledge and intellect. The Brain Game has become a desirable event for companies who are looking for more cerebral ways to engage with their employees; some choose to bring clients as it’s an impressive evening of fun with a competitive edge.”

Since the launch of ‘Brain Game’ in excess of £700,000 has been raised to help vulnerable children across the UK. At this year’s event the NSPCC would like to raise £25,000 to help protect a generation of local children by raising funds for the NSPCC’s Schools Service, which helps primary school children understand abuse through workshops and assemblies.

On arrival guests will be shown to Middle Temple Hall where they will enjoy a delicious three course meal with wine, later participating in eight challenging quiz rounds. Raffle prizes will be up for grabs including a signed England cricket bat, Chelsea premiership football match tickets and a luxury Harrods hamper.
